Peak District

Although its name may suggest otherwise, the Peak District is in fact a landscape of gently rolling hills, as opposed to dramatic peaks. It’s an ideal choice for those who want a slightly less demanding walking holiday. Situated in the centre of England, the Peak District is easily accessed from both Sheffield and Manchester.

Snowdonia

Snowdonia is a stunning place for walking and adventure holidays in the UK. Here one can find the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon, which positioned in the centre of the area stands at 1085 metres. There are many other spectacular peaks here aside from Snowdon however; these include Cnicht, Idris, Cader and Tryfan. One of the best routes to be found here is known as the 15 peaks, although this is certainly not for the faint of heart; this challenging series of trails goes through each Welsh peak and is usually done over the course of a few days.
